Generation I

Peter Jett was born 1633 in St. James Parish, London, Middlesex, England. He died 1688 in Old Rappahannock Co, VA.

Virginia Land Grants; Name: Jett, Peter; Date: 21 Jan 1666 ; Place: [old] Rappahannock County; Amount: 600 acres; Where: On the north side of the river, in the freshes of the same county about 3 miles from the river side. Patent: Number 6, page 23.

Peter Jett and two of his sons, William and John were the only survivors (from this family) of an Indian raid on Jan 25, 1676 which covered a twenty mile area. Homes, grains and buildings were burned to the ground.

 

He married Mary Triplett. She was born 29 June 1625 in England and died 25 January 1676 in Old Rappahannock Co, VA. She was the daughter of John Triplett and Joan Yeo.

Peter Jett, Jr. (born about 1656 in England; died 25 January 1676)

Mary Jett (born about 1658 in England; died 25 January 1676)

Martha Jett (born about 1660 in England; died 25 January 1676)
